Paderewski here displays a really impressive control over the singing line. He invests himself completely into every note without losing sight of the long phrase.

@newFranzFerencLiszt According to Dagmar Godowsky in her autobiography, Paderewski greatly admired Godowsky and would occasionally visit and play for him, accepting his criticisms and ideas for improvements. This was already when Paderewski was a superstar, so that is high flattery indeed.

He comes off in the interview as very self-aware, highly articulate, charming, and very smart. He is quick on the draw, no slurring of words that would indicate drug addiction or other maladies of the rock world.
