of course the events are different, but to gloss over the fact that the gov't reacted differently to these two events is to pull the wool over your own eyes. as for whether the new orleans VICTIMS didn't evacuate: they didn't have california's surfeit of SUV's. they HAD to depend on the gov't to provide transportation, which WAS NOT provided.
i'm constantly amazed at how people still want to believe that the bushies are not evil AND incompetent. watch something other than FOX NEWS, why doncha!
