About The Agent Ria
Welcome to The Agent Ria, an online channel for contemporary artists' video.
Initiated and run by artist Lyndsay Mann, the registeredinart channel provides a constant point of access to current and experimental work by visual artists exploring various methods and approaches to screen-based practices. New work by different artists is regularly uploaded, adding to the hosted works.
The artist-run channel has become a resource - with hosted artists' works selected for shows in the UK (Tate Modern, London) and USA (DCCP, Detroit) - and a curatorial method, with curated 0ff-line screening programmes within the Edinburgh Art Festival 2011 and upcoming Edinburgh Middle Eastern Film Festival, 6 -- 20 February 2012 at the Filmhouse cinema. (see link below)
The channel aims to encourage conversation around new areas of public art and documentation, as well as engage a wider public less familiar with the visual arts.
