"Give your story a voice" is the motto of the multimedia and healthcare project called "REFLECT AND ACT!". REFLECT AND ACT! gives adolescents the opportunity to think in a creative and individual way about topics that concern them, which contributes to mental healthcare. At the same time, they learn how to use the new media and different methods of presentation. Not only does this help adolescents to deal with their experiences, but it also helps adults to better understand the adolescents' worlds and concerns. The project began with the creation of digital stories, developed with the help of adolescents and schools, and with visits to different places where young people "hang out". Training was offered to teach "digital storytelling" to local multipliers, e.g. teachers and youth workers. The project is aimed at young people aged between 14 and 26 years, living in Vorarlberg, Lindau (Switzerland) and Friedrichshafen (Germany). It is supported by the cities of Lindau and Friedrichshafen, the Land of Vorarlberg, and the Supro Workshop for the Prevention of Addiction. Besides accompanying the project from a scientific point of view, the Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences is also providing equipment and venues for events.
