My name is Re` pronunced "ree"
I am a recording and composition enthusiast.
My first instrument was playing the drums in a more traditional and rudimental Drum Corps setting.
I later learned Guitar, Piano and Music Composition, but Drums have always been my first true musical love.
I stopped playing drums and music all together for awhile (2003) because I suffered from burn out and writers block.
Then about (2010) I discovered Roland V-Drums and found myself inspired once again. I have since returned to recording with a Digital Guitar Controller, Guitar, MIDI Keyboard Controller, and Roland V Drums using a computer based D.A.W. (Digital Audio Workstation).
This was a big change for me coming from the school of Tube Amplifiers, Acoustic Guitars, Vintage Microphones, and Acoustic Drums are always better, to now not even having an electric guitar in my project studio (Update 09/ 20/ 2011: I just added both Electric & Acoustic Guitars ). I am not saying that Digital is better than Analog or Acoustic. It just fits my more modern needs better at this time.
Sure I worked with early MIDI sequencers, Drum Machines, and Samplers, but in my opinion modern computer based D.A.W.'s and VSTI's have changed everything. Add in Roland V Drums and I'm ready to sign back up for another tour in the recording arts.

My biggest drumming influences are Buddy Rich, and Bill Bruford.
Albums (CD's) that influenced my drumming would be Jeff Beck's Wired, King Crimson ( Red & Larks Tongues in Aspect ) also most Buddy Rich or Gene Krupa recordings.
I am a computer tech by trade, and write and record music-video in my spare time.
I do not take my playing too serious. It is just for personal enjoyment. When I play drum covers. I call it "Drumaoke".

I have a CD & MP3 release that I played most instruments and vocals on and released in 2004 ( http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/reread ) I view this channel as an artists audio-video sketch pad. I try keeping to the rule of no safety nets in my recording, so if a project requires more than 3 takes to perform. I just post the best one of the three. I really don't care about technical errors in my performance. I am just expressing my own idea's or reinterpreting other artists work though the media of music and video.
