.....I PLAY WHAT I FEEL WHAT I PLAY WHAT I FEEL WHAT.....

Ree has been working on a few tracks over the past couple of years, slowly developing her musical skills by practicing guitar, drums and more recently the bass. She has also spent some time learning production/recording techniques at Kidd Studios...and is continuing to build on her knowledge and experience on her own.

She has also been involved in some collaborative tracks over the past couple of years (as her alter-ego 'Drumgirl') with 'Heavyman & Edgmonkey' on their project, 'Darkmannaz' producing ambient breakbeat/drum and bass. This project has thus far been studio based.

She has also contributed backing vocals for 'Tractor Countdown's' album 'Shedworks' and the New Release of the 'Dust Diaries' album.

Ree continues to work on her acoustic work which she is in the process of writing and recording some new tracks, but she is also discovering the world of synths and working on some Dubstep and Experimental/Electronica/Atmospheric tracks too.

Ree is also branching out to collaborate with other artists. One being Brightons resident Dubstep DJ called 'INASOUND'..They have just put up their first track and intend to produce more in the near future. She is also presently busy in the studio making Experimental Downtempo tracks with well travelled Brighton based 'TORMALEAN'..a unique artist and producer that she has recently crossed paths with. Whose solo work is inspired by the Psy-Dub/Psybient scene and artists such as Phutureprimitive, BlueTech and Younger Brother just to name a few..and coupled with Rees diverse taste in music and developing style too, Ree and Tormalean are expected to be an exciting combination..NEW TRACKS COMING VERY SOON..

Ree entered 'THE PEOPLES MUSIC AWARDS' for 'The Best female solo artist' and the 'TripHop/HipHop/R&B' chart IN 2009...

She made it through to the 2nd round for the 'TRIPHOP/HIPHOP/R&B' category.

Ree was then chosen by guest judges at The Peoples Music Awards in 2009 to go through to the 'final round' in the BEST FEMALE SOLO ARTIST genre .. Unfortunately she was not one of the 2 out of 5 artists to win the final round but she received some great feedback from the public and the music industry guest judges...(see quotes below and detailed feedback in Rees blog)...

"This one is a quiet stormer, with reflections of Morcheeba's and Dido's best bits, It's a fantastic track and Ree has taken it to the next level, with this enchanting melodic trip hop inspired track. One of our favourites at TPMA HQ"...(The People's Music Awards - July 2009)

"Haunting trip hop straight out of Brighton, perfect to lay back and immerse yourself in during the wee small hours or on a chilled Sunday afternoon.
