Vampire-Demon Gambling Kingpin Harry Cane's dead-media expert 'Glow Bottles' lies dying, we see the events that lead up to her demise through her surreal final flashbacks. Set slightly into the future where digital media can no longer be trusted, Harry Cane's secret accounts are stored on these old wire reels, which were popular in the 1940's. One reel is missing, but who has it?

Wire Recording History:
Valdimar Poulsen is generally credited with having made in 1898 the first recordings using magnetic wire as the recording medium.
Little progress however, was made in the art until World War II. The Armed Services then sought a recording means which would be portable and simple to operate and yet would withstand the rigors of field service and be capable of recording over long periods without interruption. Magnetic recording,and more specifically, wire recording,proved to be the answer. It offered the additional advantages that recordings were compact, unbreakable and could be stored for any period of time, without loss of quality or being affected by normal conditions of heat and moisture.
'Reel Pretty' features several Webster-Chicago Wire Recorders in original condition/working order from 1940's owned by Johnny R.
