why cant you keep the stingray in the reef? and ow big is its tank now because i really want one but i have an sps reef tank

can i keep a stingray in a 125 gallon sps reef? i have 200 pounds of live rock but its big heavy pieces not alot of it just in the center.

wow that really is a dream tank. how much money does it cost to maintain, also what amount of water changes do you do and how often. also how much did it cost for the initial setup. i have a 125 gallon reef with leds and everything so i am estimating its worth about 8 grand for everything i spent...

might be a little late but take the spacer off and put the little rubber pad in between the motor and the glass. the noise is coming from when the vibration causes the pump to slip down and the magnets dont align correctly so if you take out the spacer you will have a stronger magnet and the rubb...

dragonface pipe fish can be in higher then normal flow right? because im setting up a small species only tank for seahorses and maybe some pipe fish but i heard that dragonface pipefish can be in a reef type setting with high flow so i was hoping to put them into my 125 gallon mixed reef display.

@tonytennis yes the reef octopus skimmer. but i think its kind of like apple the computer company. its founders are n the U.S. but ts manufactured in china and the parts are made in japan, germany, and the US

@mark2109111 no wet dry... just live rock and a protein skimmer. once you get more advanced you will regret getting the wet dry because it will require more water changes then if you just use live rock.

aren't moon jellyfish supposed to be in temperatures around 77 degrees?

@newyorksteelo well i'm using ozone right now and so far i haven't had any problems. do you think i really should get a uv or will the ozone be just as good?

i have a 125 gallon reef tank. if i get one of these will it eat my fish or coral. also is it true they can get out of any hole because i just have some small openings around the pipes that it could get through if it tried.

are the white spots ich or just stress because i bough one today and the 5 minutes from the pet store to my house there were those white spots and i took the risk and just put it in my tank and now about 6 hours later i dont see them anymore and its so happy swimming around and eating algae.

@fishN1202 hey how is your fish doing because im in the same exact position right now because i just got one and someone told be he grows a foot and a half and the tank is only a foot and a half thick so i wasn't sure it it will be comfortable swimming.

how do you accomplish 1 water change a month. i change 10 gallons a week and i use ro/di water and i have an algae filter like you a reef octopus sro 2000 skimmer, and 200 pounds of live rock. its 125 gallons like yours and i just have so much phospates and alga i cant get rid of.

@Juston51 yea i also got a great deal on my live rock. it was actually a guy with a reef business but he didn't do so well so he sold like 3000 pounds of live rock and i bout 250 pounds for 50 cents a pound... it was fully cured to i got to pic out the pieced from the water and everything.

hey im scared of old tank syndrome now but right now im in new tank syndrome... my tank has been set up since november 5th and the algae just doesn't go away the sand i new but i bought the live rock used... i dont think he really neglected it because he was like a real professional with over 40 ...

ive never had to change my bulbs yet so im curious. do i wait for the bulb to die or do i just replace it every 6 months or something. i have 1 metal halide and 4 t-5 bulbs.
