Red Ribbon are a 3 piece acoustic/folk group from Melbourne Australia.

The Ribbons feature Cassandra Ramanathan on Keys and Vocals, Brigitte Miles Guitar and Vocals, and Aarti Desai on Bass and Vocals (however we mix it up every now and then)

Their style is quite unique, as the Ribbons are tying together a range of influences, combining sound characteristics from Sara Bareilles, melodic interpretation from Missy Higgins, a sense of diversity from Feist, crazy James Cullum stage presence in conjunction with their own individuality and artistic strengths, producing a musical work of art that has never been heard before.

The Ribbons grew up together through high school where they accumulated years of experience in harmonising songs together. They went separate ways for a time before being reconciled, forming "Red Ribbon" in the summer of 2009. The Ribbons now have had experience in performing together through jamming sessions, Christmas concerts, and private functions. They are wishing to grow as a band, in order to further their musical capabilities and connect with greater audiences, to reach those not yet reached.

Currently they are working on a series of originals based on personal testimonies that explore the struggles, the highs, and the lows of life, wrapping up an album before the year is out (we hope!)

The Ribbons have a vision to one day travel worldwide and reach greater audiences with their music whilst still maintaining an intimacy with each individual combined with a stage presence to entertain masses. They wish to one day own their own café and recording studio (random but we love it!)

They are always looking forward to new opportunities, keen to further their performance and recording experience and to grow as a band.
