Hunc tu caveto.
About Me:

As far as my genetic makeup, I am Eurasian. I'm usually silent. It's not that I'm shy or anything, I just prefer stealth. I'm also a diehard skeptic, and really find it hard to believe a lot of things, especially when it comes to religion and conspiracy theories.
Hometown:
Lakewood
Country:
United States
Occupation:
Public Information Officer
Companies:
Government employee
Schools:
Cal State Fullerton, Cypress College
Hobbies:
I am fond of archaeology, and as you will see in The Real Desert Dogs series, we even go on archaeological expeditions. Not quite as Hollywood as Indiana Jones, but interesting none the less. I'm also a big philosophy buff, and plan on making plenty of philosophy films. There's a few on my video log now that you may find helpful in understanding certain aspects of philosophy. I'm also very interested in the sciences, religions, and politics. Of course, film making is another interest of mine, it gives me the opportunity to incorporate all my interests onto film and express it to you the viewer.
Movies:
For the longest time, Starship Troopers was my favorite movie, simply because these people lived in this almost satirical world where people are only given the right to vote if they are citizens. And to be citizens, they must join Federal Service. But, I think 300 might have beat it. I'm going to have to watch it again to make sure, though.
Music:
I grew up listening to classic rock, and then branched out in the '90s to listen to punk rock, alternative, and ska. I am now proud to say I have no such discriminations in music, and I've even come to enjoy some hip hop. But what's most important to me is the message these artists are trying to portray ... and that's why I like bands like Rage Against the Machine, System of a Down, and hip hop groups like Dead Prez and Immortal Technique
Books:
The Pale Blue Dot by Carl Sagan, The Communist Manifesto (I just think it's a good read), The End of Faith by Sam Harris, and Why People Believe Weird Things by Michael Shermer.

The guy below (thomaserossi) makes it sound like reading the Bible is difficult. It isn't. I've read it once, and have been reading the Bible again for the last two months. I've also read numerous other holy texts, like the Qu'ran, the Bhagavad Gita, the Upanishads, and numerous Buddhist sutras.

You're a hatemongering, postmodern Liberal Fascist. You harass everyone for something they believe in yet don't have the slightest idea what that is. I've asked you to provide evidence that you've actually read the Bible (not that I believe) and you can't do it. You've never read it but you insist on lying and pretending you have.

Disagree? Fine. Don't believe? Me neither. Lie about reading the Bible? I don't think so. You're a fraud.

sorry, but apparently you missed the point.... the point was not wheather you believe in right vs. wrong (a person is subject to the rule of society's law whether they 'believe' them or not), but rather, what is the authentic source or origin for what is moral or ethical. in the mainsteam view of atheists, it is society or human convention (i.e., a product of the human mind). The contrast I was offering simply is that Christians accept as fact rather a 'law of human nature' - a belief that we all humans encounter an an objective alternative of what is 'right' . An absolute denial of God such as yours also suggests an absolute denial of 'human nature' and the possibility of offering any commentary on the state of humans after death. To insist that there is no existance after death would merely be your complete uninformed conjecture is my point !

If humans have no eternal souls (from God), and conscience and morality are simply products of our minds (induced by chemical reactions)- than you cannot possibly believe there is an objective right or wrong (i.e., absolute TRUTH) about anything. If that is the case, why ought anyone to accept your completely arbitrary opinions on consequential matters like human morality and what happens after we all die ? Are UR statements not just questionable 'beliefs' of your possibly chemically imbalanced mind ? Christians have the 'conviction' that reason, truth, conscience & morality originate empirically with GOD; not our own possibly misguided, deluded minds.
