Music of Rebekah Griffin Greene, doublebassist/composer
About Me:

I am a New York-based bassist, pianist, cellist, composer, arranger, teacher and sci-fi geek. I'm married to a New York-based trombonist, drummer, composer, arranger, teacher and sci-fi geek (he's WAY more into YouTube than I am.:) We play a large variety of music together all over New York, including jazz, gospel, orchestral, studio, funk, classical chamber, and we have at times choreographed fights with light-sabers through the NY jedi.:) (www.nyjedi.com)

I look forward to developing my channel a bit more with some more performances of original and classical works for bass!

Hasta la pasta!

Rebekah:)

Music:
All music has some merit. My least favorite is unoriginal copies of unoriginal copies of an original that was good until somebody copied it (Ie, most film scores and musicals, unfortunately. John Williams I like because he copied the original great masters. It seems like a lot of other composers just copied him and the greatness got watered down). I liked the group Iona before they disbanded, and I really like the Cross Movement. I also like Seal, Stravinsky, Mozart, Beethoven, John Adams, Debussy, Ravel, and my husband's jazz tunes.:)
Books:
La Biblia, the Raw Food Detox Diet (Natalia Rose. I taught her kids music when they were in pre-school!), the Young Wizard series by Diane Duane, Star Wars novels, anything fun, imaginative and non-graphic. TWILIGHT, NEW MOON, ECLIPSE, BREAKING DAWN.:)
