These reviews are uninformed, irrelevant, and peurile. Their talking points are specious, their demeanor is off-putting, and their opinions do nothing but propagate the foolish misconception that intelligent cinematic analysis is a high-brow, elitist practice out of touch with the act of casual filmgoing. They show next to no respect for the filmmakers or understanding of their craft; they are routinely dismissive of accomplished works, mistaking their own lack of comprehension as a flaw of the film in question. I can only hope that no one considers Benza and Gumpel credible reviewers or uses these videos to substantiate their own shallow tastes.
