I seem to be trapped in the inner workings of my television, and you are the only ones that can see it through....where will this take us...

Experiencing video art is not like looking at paintings on a well-lit museum wall. In here, it's dark and noisy and full of surprises.
The most straightforward defining distinction between cinema and video art would be to say that (perhaps) cinema's ultimate goal is to entertain, whereas video art's intentions are more varied, be they to simply explore the boundaries of the medium itself or to rigorously attack the viewer's expectations of video as shaped by conventional cinema. I've always thought of this medium as a really exciting medium for creating personal visions.

readymade—describes art created from the undisguised, but often modified, use of objects that are not normally considered art, often because they already have a mundane, utilitarian function. Marcel Duchamp was the originator of this in the early 20th-century.

I am very much interested in pioneering a new video art movement called "Readymade Art Video". It is by no means a new or original idea. It is however a different way of thinking about what constitutes our perceptions of reality and its relationship to pop culture. What you take away from these pieces that I've created is entirely YOUR experience.
"readymade777" has been something that I have been fascinated with. I would be doing it an injustice by saying that it's all me, because the media used in it is a culmination of all kinds of creativity, some obvious fixtures in our pop culture (past and present) and others are direct collaborations with artists. It's more of an art machine that I help control.
I encourage anyone else who is so inspired to create their own readymade art videos, and share them with me. Let's get it on the map.
