IN-CAR TRACK DAY VIDEOS

I participate regularly in the advanced run groups at non-competition track day events for street cars in CA and AZ with my stock-engine daily-driver 1995 Mazda Miata that has been altered for high performance track driving with suspension and brake modifications and typical race level safety equipment.

These events are great fun and are relatively affordable and quite safe for car enthusiasts who want to try running their cars at speed on real race tracks under monitored and controlled conditions. This is as close as the average car owner can get to full on track racing, and many who participate in these events go on to actual full-on competition racing.

The driving and car control skills learned on the track are directly transferrable to driving on public streets and highways, and that is why these events are usually termed High Performance Driver Education events (abbreviated as HPDE).
