About Me:
I try to use one philosophy while interacting with other's and it is also my belief:
All mainstream religions have one generic core law, in their own words, a Supreme Law that simply means; 'Do unto others as you would have them do unto you'. I know it as The Golden Rule. God coded this Law into our DNA and this code fragment is inserted into our brains 'BIOS'. This is what gives us our humanity, our compassion and conscience. If everyone lived by this Rule, especially religious leaders, what a different world this would be....
Evil can exist....wherever compassion, doesn't....
A loving soul comes down here with every person - The greatest gift is being able to live a life that allows it to survive...right up to the end...

I've decided to add the following short belief statement to save people time by writing that I apparently accept some religion over other's as the only truth:
When looking at our universe and life on this planet, I find it far more difficult to not believe in God. Men, who had a desire to control people's thoughts (often through fear) and thus gain power over them, are the ones that invented religion....not God; although I would fight for their right to believe as they wish. He simply asks that we do to others as we desire for ourselves. I do not believe that God listens to prayers directed toward any of man's religious entities, and we should be aware that He is not our servant. I imagine He is more likely to listen to a prayer of thanks or one for others, than a prayer for ourselves. I also imagine Gods DNA code for Mankind is just one of many such interests He has evolving throughout this universe. He would be so bored if we were the only 'intelligent' beings to observe.....
I despise rhetoric that links God to punishment.
The saying "opposites attract", is for magnets....in time, mate divergence sucks.

I just reread your 'About Me', and I could wish it were possible for us to discuss at length our philosiphies. We might not find ourselves in complete agreement in all areas, but I dare say we would find a great deal of commonality. I'm certainly in agreement with all you've said here. :o)
