i also wonder about the tuning. the same notes are tuned similarly "out" on two different places on the guitar...sounds like it's meant to not be a completely relaxing tapestry of notes, but instead to have some tension. Or maybe they both got detuned by roughly the same amount by temp change....

are controller id's usable for pan location? I have the output stage of an 8 channel pan system in max that you might like. It uses the number range 0 1023 and wraps... you could run 5 of them simultaneously i think.
