Welcome to Calgary's GlobalFest Fireworks Competition/Festival Video (HD) Archive and other local firework displays. All shows are here in their entirety unedited as recorded live (ambient sound only).
This set of videos was recorded by me as part of the Technical Team of GlobalFest. They are filmed primarily for the teams so that they can review their performance afterwards.
There are two styles of video stream captured:
1) A horizontal view where I am allowed to zoom in at my discretion to show the detail in the fireworks.
2) A Competition Pyro-technical View, which is a fixed view (camera turned 90 degrees, ie. Portrait) to record the firework display from top to bottom and associated reflections on Elliston Lake.
For years 06, 07, 08, & 09 each show is devided into 3 parts (YouTube 10min limit)
For 2010 each show is split in two parts (YouTube 15min time limit).
These videos are just for public record.
THERE IS NO COPYRIGHT ASSOCIATED WITH THESE VIDEO and NO FUNDS will be generated from them. They are presented with thanks to GlobalFest for contracting the show. The Firework Companies & Teams for allowing their copyrighted pyro-technology and competition routines to be displayed and the respective Music companies for the music tracks that the displays are set to.
For all inspiring pyrotechnologists use this as a way to learn from the masters of your craft. If in doubt, just go watch and enjoy a proffesionally run show. Fireworks are dangerous!
Above all; Please, Just enjoy the artistry of Competition Fireworks!
