It is good to be aware of ballistic capabilities. You are quite right to explain that the 45 cal would have put this nut down where the 9mm left him still active. It is also important to understand that the 40 cal is ballistically a superior round than the 45 cal. Higher penitration capabilities...

I do this with flitz and my dremel comes right off.

I bought the PT 709 slim. I like the gun it works well however, the finishing on the inside is not finished very well you can see a lot of tool marks and there are a lot of sharp edges.

Certainly a great gun but still a dated design with limit rounds and a subsonic caliber. Better as a range gun. Prefer a 40 cal. Glock, or XMD, higher round count and ballistly superor round. It only makes sense for the military because they can not use HP amo thus a big chunck of lead works.

I feel the best choice is to stack the FMJ's and the JHP's with this caliber in the same magazine.

The problem with this holster is reholstering your gun. That is a big downside to this holster. The one with the hard plastic on the outside works better for that function.

What barrel is that in your Glock 17???

I have this same holster and the problem with it is that it is very difficult to reholster you gun. They also make it with a kydex type of polimer in the front which is probably better.

where did you buy your Izula(s)?

I would imagine if it hit bone within the body it would be quite formidable stopping power.

I have used this also but found that when firing the gun the grip will move in position and you will need to readjust this after each firing.

Yes a better test for sure but why are you always pushing this amo? I seems to be very good and if the prices were better I would buy some but it is not. There are other good choices.

The 10mm round in the Glock 29 comes in many types. Some of them are ballisticaly almost identical to the 40 cal and will perform with similar results. Therefore your Glock 29 can be carried in all the same venues as your Glock 30 you just need to adjust your defensive loads accordingly.

Excellent test. Would like to see this in 180 gr for the difference in penetration. I would have thought that a shooting at only 10 ft. away it would have been deeper. Also it adds a lot to the test to see it performed twice, so your bad shot was actually very helpful.... Thanks for these test ...

I'd like to see the Benelli in action. It is very similar to my Mossberg 930SPX but more expensive of course...

Colt and Kimber also make the 10mm in 1911 style. I agree with you about the 10mm it is a more effective round than .45cal. I also own the Glock 29.... My favorite of all my Glocks..
