@wgamador Not really. There's a distinct difference between reggae and dancehall. But if you're non-Jamaican, never lived there or been fully immersed in the culture, or not REALLY REALLY into it. It would indeed all sound the same.

You must tighten up on your hats or the guitar will just go WAY off.

You hit it with the hi-hat feel.

I'm a guitarist and if the hats are too sloppy with a funk or hip hop feel, I get lost.

Can't stay on the skank if the hats are all over the place.
