it takes some maturity level to appreciate the lyrics and more importantly the way it has been sung. I have been addicted to this song after i herad it few times. No doubt rafi sahab had voice of god.

was not moved much when i heard it for first time, but later found myself humming the line "ye mere sher mere aakhiri nazrane hai" and soon fell in love with this song. Actor's mixed expressions match well with the divine voice.

according to movie story jaya is a better singer than amitabh and gradually she gets more famous . so for the song rafi sahab was instructed to sing in low pitch and lata in high pitch so that song becomes a female voice dominated song but still it became a rafi song.
