I was born at a time when the world population was 4.7 billion, the beginning of end of the Cold War, the rise of Michael Jordan, the introduction of the first Macintosh computer , 100,000 CPU transistors corresponding to Moore's Law, the U.S. "Just Say No" and D.A.R.E. campaigns against drugs, the discovery of the cause of AIDS- the HIV virus, discovery of ozone hole over Antartica, the 1980s oil surplus by developments of large-scale fossil fuel exploitations and the 2nd oil crisis. Now with an engineering degree, I am faced with the decision of choosing where I want to spend the little time I have to make a positive impact and contribution to this planet and humanity. As I begin my journey towards that goal, I can only hope that my efforts during my lifetime make an improvement to the quality of life on an international level.
