The melody is a classic Ukrainian Epiphany song (shchedrivka) that has been converted into a Christmas Carol in English (Carol of the Bells). This is a cool rendition and a heartwarming video. The original lyrics talk about the coming of the first swallow and the signs of spring after a cold win...

This was actually in Donetsk at the dojos of the two gentlemen being used as uke in the second part: Oleksandr Rutskoi and Vlodya (whose family name I no longer recall). The uke in the first part is Arkadiy Krasovskiy.

A little sexist, but charming!

What I find cool is when someone takes a familiar song and gives it a spin, like this! That's what musicians do all that time... It's like the Stones doing Honky Tonk Women or the Four Seasons using Bach's melody.
