Kurt Orderson is a 29-year old filmmaker from Cape Town, South Africa. Ordeson started his career after completing his film and television studies at Monash University, South Africa.
After completing his schooling he started working for the South African Broadcasting Corporation, producing, shooting and directing educational programmes.

His first feature length documentary, Definition of Freedom (2004), examined the role Hip Hop played during the South African struggle. The film went on to win best documentary at the Atlanta Hip Hop Film Festival (2005). The film also screened at with screenings at the Vancouver and Toronto Hip Hop film festivals.

He went on co-directing a tribute film to the late internationally renowned reggae artist Tribute to Lucky Dube (2007) this was filmed on location in South Africa, Jamaica and London and directing Visibly Invisible (2008) which takes a look at the Afrikan presence in Norway the has also premiered at the Best of New York African Diaspora film festival (2010). His latest project included attending the Berlinale Talent Campus (2008) in Germany and the Afrikan History Week (2008) festival in Oslo, Norway, New York Afrikan film festival (2009) and the BFM London International film festival (2009) where he promoted his latest production The Prodigal Son.
In late 2009 he went on to direct and film The Pan-African Express that tells the story of six young men from Morehouse College, Atlanta who visit South Africa for the first time, trying to understand the lives of people living with HIV/Aids.This project was funded by The Oprah Winfrey Foundation.
In 2010 he went on to direct and film The Agrarian Reform for Food Sovereignty, which asks critical questions about the lack of transformation and land reform in South Africa, post apartheid.
In 2011 he directed and shot on 'David vs Goliath a 23-minute documentary are currently in post production with his lastest feature length documentary 'Breathe Again'

His company Azania Rizing Productions endeavors to inspire young people by telling stories about Afrika and the Afrikan Diaspora at large, including teaching about Afrika's legacy in world heritage.

On 'Eldorados' the feature film he worked as the cinematographer and as associate producer.
