Old soul single social worker, poet, writer, gardener, blogger, music lover, dancing, tennis, who discusses everything from politics to religion, elderly caregiver, great cook, recipes, enchiladas to cinnamon rolls to soups, remodeler, nutrition consultant doing well by doing good, Shaklee Independent Distributor, health researcher, sewing, sexual abuse healing counselor, current Oregonian, perpetual student of life.
About Me:

I'm a 56 yr. old single woman whose life makes most everyone feel better. I'm a non-smoker, non-drinker, independent thinker. Not into organized religion or any ethnocentric, excluding body. I believe in representative govt., freedom of information, neutrality of the internet, and that almost every governing agency and body is corrupt and dysfunctional. I supported Ron Paul, though not a Republican.I do not support any candidate wholly, as that is probably impossible. I think many people see voting as a waste with the cheating possible. The FDA has sold us out to special interests, the grocery stores lack almost any nutrition or unadulterated food, and the medical monopoly act like arrogant, patronizing, pathologically paternal pimps for pharmaceuticals. I am holistic, don't support mental labeling and drugging people, think we need to teach our kids to communicate honestly and problem solve in the early years. I am still open for a partner whom I could refer to mentor any young person for a better, more hopeful world. I am a seeker, I believe in the miracle of life, and that our bodies house our spirit-here to learn to love ourself in another scenario. I love eating, meeting trustworthy people, reading, movies, helping others, birds, nests w/ eggs, flowers and trees. My favorite color is green. I believe we are all beings of love and light, and that there is always more good than bad, regardless of the wounds and responses to them. I don't believe in judgment, only learning. I am always seeking to improve myself. I love to laugh. I should have been an actress or a doctor. I am a natural advocate for social justice. People say I should have been an attorney with my memory and attention to detail. I can laugh at pain. It makes the best comedians. I speak out, I'm iconoclastic, I don't need to be liked, or to be right, it's more important to be honest. I don't like to be part of any dishonesty. When I read up to 1/3 of a classroom are drugged, and I know personally that we pharmaceutically euthanize our elderly, I am appalled and saddened. I am grateful for the conveniences of being American-born, though I'm more aware that it is on the backs of others. I believe we are operating as a fascist country, corporate-driven, the worst face of capitalism: profit w/out regard for the general good of mankind-and that we have a deep cancer of dishonesty for leadership, and I wonder when apathy will give way to movement. I believe we all immiserate the poor for our conveniences, and I also know there are many who are actively pursuing how to help orphans, rebuild villages and homes, give medical assistance, etc. At 56, there is much to say, and as a Libra, I have tried to balance my view, which with my Jewish heritage, being raised as a Mormon, and really belonging nowhere, has allowed my cognitive abilities to materialize as novels.
I think the world is a perfect university, and that we are all important in the recipe. I believe foremost in the growth of humankind, not just evolution, but the evolution of thought as James Redfield put it.Thomas Paine states my basic theories well: The world is my country, and to do good is my religion.

I'm 40. I had a DVT at 31. And now I'm in a living hell becasue of it. I'm on 20 mg of comodin a day. My leg swells so badly that it keeps me from doing things I'd like to do. Plus it looks awfull and is brownish purple. I fear in the near future, I'll have to have it amputated. My venous return is so damaged from the DVT. You may message me for any further ?'s Thanks

"Aspirin depletes only folic acid, iron, potassium and Vitamin C" Thats cute... pointless, but you are trying I guess. Don't forget that ASA causes GI bleeds at certain doses... so does this mean you shouldn't give it to someone with an MI? or a stent? Also, I'm not narrowly trained, I use what we know works and provide our pts. with the best information to make an informed desicion for themselves. I don't discount herbals and natural meds but you need to look at where you are getting the information from.

This is stuff you cant play around with. You really should have a little more faith in the healthcare system and what Drs. is really trying to do. Most of these problems occur because the patients are not compliant and think like you. The reason I sound angry is because people like you who tell people to NOT take their coumadin is way more dangerous than a patient that takes the medication with the proper education about the drug.
drvertigo (1 year ago)
If the patient is using the medication correctly, eats the correct foods, and is compliant the INR only needs to be checked every few months. It can actually be done at home if need be. Obviously your against conventional medicine and would probably tell someone who just got back from the cath lab with a stent placed to not take their aspirin and clopidogrel because it feeds the corporate beast. Even though, Ive seen countless patients came back with multiple clots in their stents because they decided to not take their anti-platelets for a week.

Thanks for accepting my invite.

It may just be an account I use for school stuff, but it still gets kind of depressing when it says you have 0 friends lol
