It's a quasi-Alien prequel. From what I've gathered from interviews with writer Damon Lindelof (aka Genius) it'll expand upon the history/mythology surrounding the planet the Alien was found on, and the ship that housed the eggs. It's in the same universe but about a different subject essentially.

This comes from such a great episode. It was quasi-standalone in that we weren't overwhelmed with much about the arc or mythos of the show but more we got time to resolve or in some cases inflame character quarrels and that was what really draws me in about "Unfinished Business".

You must be working at a terrible store, I'm a barista at an incredibly busy store and my manager goes out of his way to get us the hours we want without hassling us or letting us down. The environment and my fellow partners are amazing. Strong dislike on this one. Quit if you can't handle it.
