Some in car footage from various historic race meetings in the UK from behind the shaker scoop of a '78 pontiac firebird 400!
A little about the car:
Tuning was very restricted as its an historic series, so standard pontiac 400 block, crank and heads (think they were 6X heads at that time). Rochester quadrajet with increased jet sizes. Went to a locomotive spring manufacturer and got some 1200 inch/lb front springs made so the barge would actually turn in! These were coupled with some fantastic Koni shocks.
Standard (albeit chryogenically treated) discs on front with EBC yellow stuff pads. Horrific standard pontiac drums on back with porterfield shoes (rarely lasting more than 10 mins)
Tyres were Yokohama A032R 235x60x15s which are fantastic in wet or dry.
Hope that gives you an idea!
