I just bought one of these from a buddy of mine. The P-89 is a real straight shooter for the price. Put over 500 rounds through it so far and not a single jam.

I'm in CA and just bought a used one for $320, these guns keep their value. And the store owner wasn't aware that the gun came with two 15 round mags, so I'm a California Commie with 15 +1 in this fine cannon. Only thing I don't like is the mag release. Everything else is golden on this piece!

I have this same exact rifle, and for less than $400 I have a .308 I can shoot dimes with at over 100 yards... Adjusting the trigger is also very easy. The Stevens 200 in .308 is a NAIL DRIVER!

How is the RIA working for you in IDPA events? I'm looking into getting a RIA GI 1911 .45 for IDPA. I hear they shoot flawlessly with hardball ammo. And I shouldn't have to worry about the PF while shooting factory 230 grain rounds.

Would a galco open top open muzzle holster work for IDPA? I didn't see anything in the rule book condoning or prohibiting that type.
