Actually my bullfrog (american) cannot eat living prey. As she was born with 1 eye or had the eye removed shortly after hatching. She doesn't have good enough vision to catch ANYTHING moving freely. We HAVE to feed her with tongs, but she gets worms, slugs, mouse pinkies (FROZEN THAWED),...

Even in peak health, that is no way for a fish to live, this is disgusting. I have goldfish and I would NEVER buy a fish like this, even if I could afford it, that's just horrific.

The oxygen comes from the plants, the algae is controlled partly because you won't keep it in full sunlight and partly because both snails and shrimp will be eating the algae.
