HELP - I have an issue with a shower faucet. The original faucet handle broke and our building maintenance replaced it. After they replaced the knob handle, the water will only run hot or cold - there is no mixing. I had a second guy come out and he just replaced the cartridge, but it's the same problem. The original knob "PULLED" - since they replaced it, it only turns left or right. I pulled the handle off and followed the directions from the cartridge and the last guy had installed it wrong, so I was able to fix that. However, I don't know what the original piece was like since it was discarded. Does the pull knob use a different cartridge or is there just something installed wrong? When I called back the guy wanted to cut a hole in the wall, etc. to try to figure it out. At this point, I think I know as much if not more than he does about the problem!!!

Hi there,

I just removed a water pressure regulator which is installed under our toilet tank because it is leaking. I connected that short piece of hose from the tank to the hose coming out of the floor. Is this safe? I have 6 toilets in the house and I'm just wondering why only the one in our master bedroom has it.
