About this user

I am a 2012 Artist-in-Residence at the M. H. de Young Memorial Museum, San Francisco, and a 2011 Individual Artists Grantee from the San Francisco Arts Commission.

I am a San Francisco-based sculptor who uses unlikely objects to create artwork that suggests the under-explored relationship among spirituality, sexuality, and gender to support and unite culturally specific communities.

My vision is to create artwork that affirms, supports, and unites culturally specific communities.

My mission is to link unlikely objects in my artwork to encourage questioning and investigation.

I am a recipient of the prestigious Artadia Award and attended
the Djerassi Resident Artists Program and the Vermont Studio Center in Johnson, Vermont. I have exhibited artwork at the Center for LGBT Life at Duke University, the Luggage Store Gallery, and the Museum of the African Diaspora (MoAD) in San Francisco, California. I has received grants from the Queer Cultural Center (QCC), the San Francisco Foundation, and the San Francisco Arts Commission Cultural Equity Program in support of his work. In 2010, I was nominated for the SECA Award, and the Eureka Award. I am curator of exhibitions at SFO Museum at San Francisco International.
