Lakyn Campbell was shot with a .30-06 rifle on May 8, 2009 and lost her leg due to the wound. She was 16 years old at the time. Lakyn passed away March 6, 2011 from infections caused by the gun shot. She was 18 years old. Lakyn suffered unimaginable phantom limb pains and infections for two years. The senseless tragedy of her death was caused by an irresponsible individual.
