About this user
I am a U.S. patent attorney who loves to adopt the latest internet technologies in my practice, and who likes to help entrepreneurs build new businesses that will hopefully, one day, change the world for the better. I like working with talented people, and learning from the most interesting and innovative technical, scientific and business minds. I am also an engineer and software developer.
I holds a BSEE, MBA, and JD degree from Arizona State University. I studied toward a MSEE/CS at Stanford University (voluntarily withdrew). While at Stanford, my geo-spatial Internet company Fatdoor was invested in by Stanford CS professor Dr. Rajeev Motwani (early investor in Google at Stanford), and advised by Dr. Hector Garcia Molina (Oracle Board, former Stanford CS department chair) and Lauren Gelman (Stanford Law School). Fatdoor went on to raise more than $7M in venture funding from Norwest Venture Partners and others, and I served as it's founder/CEO.
In addition, I was a co-founder of numerous other startups including Trademarkia.com (founded 2009, Alexa 6,000 rank U.S.), AOLClassifieds.com (acquired by AOL in 1995), MacInsider.com (part by Ziff Davis/CNET by 1997), Bonjour Crepe Company (restaurant in Cupertino), Spiral Moon Media (video production company), TechMarkia (news publication).
I am a member of the State Bar of California, and is a registered patent attorney with the United States Patent & Trademark Office.
