I'm trying to put together a raisedonperry website, but I'm quite stupid about the whole thing.

Thank you for the kind words. To me, Journey is the finest pop-rock ever. Besides Perry's stellar voice (again, the finest of the pop-rock genre), the band itself was actually a fusion band, playing compositions of jazz sophistication and complexity mixed with rock energy, aggression, and sound on their first few releases. Check out La Raza del Sol off the 2001 Live DVD for an example. This is a band that had to actually reign in their skills to play pop-rock! I've heard rumors that Perry may work with another superb guitarist, Nuno Bettencourt of Extreme. I'd like to hear that, but I just don't know what shape Steve's voice is in nowadays. He was hurting pretty bad during Trial by Fire, hope he's recovered those golden pipes.

Oh I'm sure that's a part of it, but he does have a slightly dark complexion. I've known other fans to question whether he was Native. I remember hearing a radio interview a few years ago, and a caller asked if he was. Whatever nationality, he's such a cutie.

Sorry to say this but music business is tough and the journey managers and band members are not stupid enough to replace a great singer like Steve Perry for someone who is not qualified to be a frontman. Steve is one of a kind but the show must go on with or without him. Unfortunately,,they found someone who has a great voice like Steve and not only that,,,,,,his a great guy and a great friend. That's what Journey want to be a forntman.

someone will have do it. he hates/racist to Flipino which I cannot tolerate. someone has to play his own game. He has been playing like rat with haggardfan123. He is gregsynth. Journey is not just Steve Perry. You have to accept that and I don't care who is better or not. JOURNEY ON! Journey on OPRAH in Oct. 2.
