About La-Reserva Rainforest Replantation Project
The La Reserva Forest Foundation is dedicated to the regeneration of tropical, indigenous forests and is the result of a nine-year effort to regenerate these forests on a 100 acre farm over looking Lake Arenal in Guanacaste (north central) Costa Rica. We are a volunteer, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization working to reverse the widespread conversion of tropical forest to farmland. We recognize that we are stewards of the natural world, not just its consumers. We like to call our work "oxygen farming" because forests produce oxygen and absorb CO2, thus helping to curb global warming.
The La Reserva project proves that it is not too late to save tropical forests and the animals that depend on them. As the project grows it will connect with similar projects to create a healing green belt across Central and South America.
