I have always loved Caballe for many things: pianissimi, mind- boggling breath control, elegance, flawless vocal line, subtle rephrase and that incredible timbre of her voice. Here we surprised even by her terrific high notes in forte. Beyond words

Great Caballé, the only one modern Tosca, so away from imposed tradition the
hyperdramatic: Caniglia, Cigna, Callas, Olivero. Certainly all of them valid. Tebaldi's Tosca targeted towards a more feminine and fragile.
