The Yakima ForkLift bike carrier is a fork mount style bike carrier which is ideal for those who have strong factory installed cross bars and have no need to install a complete Yakima roof rack system. Versatile mounting, quick installation and sleek styling make the ForkLift an excellent solution.

The ForkLift includes versatile mounting hardware that fits a wide range of factory cross bar shapes and sizes. Three settings on the ForkLift head allows it to grip to thin or thick cross bars. The Yakima ForkLift installs in just a few minutes and does not require any tools. Just find the best setting, tighten the knob, close the slider and insert the quick release skewer. Similar mounting hardware attaches the rear wheel tray to the rear load bar.

The ForkLift is part of Yakima's family of Same Key System products. The Fork Lift's heavy duty stainless steel lockable quick release skewer can be equipped with a Yakima SKS lock core which is sold separately. With the skewer locked, the bike is locked to the bike mount and the bike mount is locked to the cross bars.

The ForkLift will accommodate a bike weighing up to 35 pounds and up to two ForkLifts can be installed on factory cross bars. If you have plans to carry more than two bikes, you'll need to consider a complete Yakima roof rack system. (less info)
