A vivacious songstress with the lyrical maturity of someone twice her age, sixteen-year-old Rachel Farley is poised to conquer Music City.

Raised in Lawrenceville, Georgia, Rachel already considers herself a life-long performer, "I hate to sound cliché, but I came into the world singing. It's something I've always loved to do. When I was 3 years old, I wanted to be Shirley Temple. I've always loved putting on a show."

When she was 11, Rachel began her professional career performing in community theaters around her hometown, but it wasn't until she picked up a guitar that she found her true calling in songwriting. Armed with a handful of lyrics, Rachel performed her first solo gig at age 12 in a coffeehouse outside of Atlanta.

After performing upwards of 300 shows and sharing the stage with fellow country artists Luke Bryan and Brantley Gilbert, Rachel still expresses the same enthusiasm for singing live as she did three years ago: "There's just nothing that compares to performing live. It's amazing—people are starting to learn the words to my songs. It's an incredible feeling sharing that passion with my fans."

Influenced by everyone from country artists Jamey Johnson, Miranda Lambert and Patsy Cline to rockers like Joan Jett and the boy of Guns and Roses, this young musician's sound combines the best aspects of contemporary country and classic rock. Rachel describes her songs, "I hate to put my music in a box. The songs I play are definitely country, but they're different from what's currently on the charts. I'm influenced by all types of music, and I think that comes through in my songwriting."

Though her career has far from reached its peak, Rachel already understands the importance of giving back. In 2009 she used her musical talents to raise awareness for the American Cancer Society through The Heroes Project. Rachel co-wrote and sang the song All Are Our Heroes on a benefit CD, the proceeds of which raised thousands of dollars in donations for cancer research.

Writing regularly with veteran songwriters Mike Dekle and Byron Hill, Rachel is currently developing a catalog of songs in anticipation of her debut album on the Average Joe's Entertainment label, a project scheduled to commence in late 2010. "With me, what you see is what you get. I'm not polished. I don't put on a fake face. I'm quirky. What you hear in my songs is the real me. I just hope people like what they hear so I can keep livin' my dream."
