About Beller Nutritional Institute

The goal of the Beller Nutritional Institute is to provide patients and the community with up to date information based upon leading-edge research concerning nutrition's impact on cancer prevention and treatment, heart disease, diabetes, and weight management. The institute accomplishes this goal through education, which includes various seminars, community outreach, and patient literature. The message of the Beller Institute is simple and proactive: disease prevention and recovery are intimately linked to nutritional intake and thus are more likely with informed and thoughtful nutritional support.

The Beller Nutritional Institute's mission is to conduct original research on the relationship between nutritional strategies and cancer prevention and recovery, develop and expand a counseling program that translates the latest medical research into usable information and the public to improve health outcomes and promote healthy living, conduct community outreach to populations that cannot afford or do not have access to private nutritional counseling as part of cancer treatment, and mobilize broad public support for nutrition and disease prevention.

A Registered Dietitian with a Masters degree in Nutritional Science, Rachel S. Beller founded the Beller Nutritional Institute in Beverly Hills to translate her clinical research into real-world results. Her areas of expertise includes nutritional oncology, wellness and preventative health, weight management, cardiovascular health and diabetes.

Drawing on these specialties, Rachel develops customized, easy-to-follow action plans, recipes and illustrated "BUY THIS" shop guides. This combination of science and straight-talk has made Rachel the go-to nutritionist for Hollywood celebrities, their families, international clients, and people from all walks of life.

After receiving her B.A. from UCLA, and her R.D. and M.S. degrees from California State University Los Angeles, Rachel conducted extensive research in the role of nutrition in cancer prevention at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and the John Wayne Cancer Institute. She also served as the John Wayne Cancer Institute's Director of Nutritional Oncology Research and Counseling for a decade. During this time she served as the co-principal investigator in the national Women's Intervention Nutrition Study (WINS), and received awards for research, recruitment and lectureship.

Rachel currently serves as a spokesperson for the Amercian Cancer Society, and is significantly involved in community outreach and several major health organizations:

Other media credits include The Today Show, the Style Network, Vogue Magazine, WebMD, the University of Pennsylvania's Penn Appetit, and numerous local and international news outlets.

Glamour magazine recently described Rachel as "a genius at designing weight-loss programs that are simple, yet at the same time tell you exactly what to eat and how to succeed... so you know you're not only going to drop a few dress sizes, but you'll do it in a healthy - and, literally, life-affirming - way."
