MUSIC. It's always been a big part of my life, especially since I used to promote clubs. My tastes in music run the gamut of all the genres (& even their sub-genres). For instance, I love the over-driven neoclassical guitar riffs of "melodic death metal". But I must admit I'm not a big fan of that constipated style of growling (err, "singing"). Also, I strictly listen to the music and don't pay attention to the lyrics. Which makes bands who's politics, religious views, lifestyles (or even image), I can't stand, easier on the ears. I love mellow music as much as I love hardcore aggressive music. I grew up in the 80's when punks fought metal heads. It's great now that a lot of music is a hybrid of different styles. If I could only take one CD to that proverbial "desert island", it would be anything from Jack Johnson.
