RaceCarProductions was created in 2004 out of a small apartment in Cincinnati, Ohio as a means of promoting and releasing music from an array of impressive talent. It exists as a collective of artists that literally push the boundaries of their respective genres as well as a means to promote its primarily underground and oftentimes experimental roster.
In the initial stages of the project the collective group spent a great deal of time promoting out of town talent. They brought in such acts as Outputmessage, Ryan Elliott, A Touch of Class, JPLS, and Derek Plaslaiko. However, as time passed it became apparent that this was not their only goal.
In 2006 RaceCarProductions morphed into a full-blown digital label when it released RaceCarProductions presents Volume 1 available on Beatport.com and the like. Since then the releases have continued with music from Bernstein out of Tokyo, Japan, Mossmoss from San Francisco, California, Monocle from Boston, Massachusetts, and The Librarian from Cincinnati, Ohio. They already have an ambitious release schedule planned for the duration of 2007 and into 2008. RaceCarProductions contains all of their impressive producers/artists; however, they also have a team of incredible DJs that can be seen in the Greater Cincinnati area and beyond.
