Believe it or not, there is a new generation of Sonic fans that DID NOT grow up on the Genesis Titles, but rather the new games. The hardcore fans from the 90's view this as blasphemy.

Then there's the fans who enjoy the old stuff AND the new games. This pisses off the 90's fanboys even more. Mix in the shipping wars, the VA wars and Bingo, the Sonic fanbase of today.
