Each year, ConnCAN recognizes public schools in Connecticut that are leading the way in raising student achievement and helping close the state's achievement gap. They publish Top 10 lists for elementary, middle, and high schools throughout the state, choosing schools based on student performance gains, overall school improvement, and African-American, Hispanic, and low-income student achievement on the Connecticut Mastery Test (CMT) and the Connecticut Academic Performance Test (CAPT).
