You shifted the lines and chanced the outcome. You couldn't cross out the 2 and -2 because they shouldn't be added together. The 2 and -1 should have been added together not the 2 and -2. 1+2+4+8+16...≠-1

@Littlescum Ah, you are right. There are a lot of "revelations" that just change because they become so sociably unacceptable that it threatens the churches existence. Not allowing black priests (until 1978 as you said) is a good example of one.
