About this user

I am an artist, and I am happy to share my artistic expression in words, music, and photography with others.

My poems cover a wide range of years, emotions, and thought processes, and I would like to differentiate between certain periods of time in my life. Quite a few of my poems are very dark in tone and meaning. These poems were written at times, or remembering times when the Lord had not yet taught me to look to and believe in Christ. Since the Lord has opened my eyes to see myself for what I really am, a dead-dog sinner, and taught me my need for him, I rejoice in the sorrows of the past and present, as they cause me to look to Christ all the more. The weaker I am, the stronger I am, for the more intently I see Christ by his grace, and I hope and pray he never lets me go my own way again.

The darkest poems are often beautiful in an artistic sense, and at the same time, they provide a very good view into the soul of the natural state of mankind without the Lord Jesus Christ, and the hopelessness of such a position.

I also have many love poems. Throughout the years, I have had muses which, perhaps, put me in the frame of mind for spouting love sonnets, but I must say that these poems, in their full meaning, are written to whoever it is that I have not yet found--that companion with whom I long to share my life, and of whom I have been dreaming since my girlhood.

Some of my poems were simply exercises in expressing myself artistically, and I really was not feeling anything emotional at the time at all, but in most cases, I was either feeling something very specific, or remembering a time when I felt that something specific.

With my music, I definitely lean towards the classical art song form in style, but I like to say I have a unique modern twist. I do not have any professional recordings yet, but I hope to have some to share soon. I do not play anything but the vocal cords, so my initial recordings will be something of a first draft as a capella's.

I would like to find other musicians to collaborate with musically, and I hope that this YouTube channel will help me to, perhaps, take steps towards a musical relationship with some talented musicians who appreciate my style and subject matter.

If you, or someone you know, really likes what I am doing, and if you feel you can see yourself making music with me, let's talk. I am especially interested in considering working with someone who plays various styles of guitar, but especially classical guitar. I am also really interested in working with keyboardists, and I have a very strong interest in exploring electronic music. I really like the idea of my cords together with some wicked cool electronic stuff, but honestly, I wouldn't know the first place to start if I were to try to do it by myself.

About my photography, well, I am a wedding photographer, and I do not have much time to photograph anything else on the side, so the samplings I include here are going to be my favorite shots taken at weddings and engagement sessions.
