Influenced by the hip-hop and electro styles of the early 80's, DJ Quest has contributed to the DJ's art form by bringing a more aggressive scratch tactic to the battle scene. Quest, featured in the Palm Pictures documentary SCRATCH, is a veteran of the DMC, New Music Seminar and countless other battles. Quest coined "Hamster Style," a unique technique of reversing the set up of turntables into a mixer to facilitate new styles of scratching. Today the term and technique remain popular and are used by DJs worldwide.
