I'm a singer-songwriter of an obscure style of music called "ethereal goth". I produced my first indie album of original music in 2002, called QUEENIE. I am working on my next album, 2010's Dream of Flight.

The name QUEENIE was borrowed from the novel "Queenie" by Michael Korda. Like the mixed race heroine of the novel Queenie, I'm half-Asian. I am half-Japanese and half-German.

In 2006, I finished and released my first novel, FOREVER FIFTEEN, as a free audiobook under my real name, Kimberly Steele. I am currently in talks with award-winning
Canadian filmmaker Eva Madden to adapt the story into a feature film.
