Just heard Susan Boyle's version and I prefer it. I heard no wailing but I did hear a very well trained voice and a perfectly nuanced interpretation. I find he almost sing/talks in this version and I don't like it.

I remembered him with the warm Up Band in the early 80's in Toronto. They were so much fun.
