@TheTaoOfKastro if the redstone holes were 2 deep, then yes, but mobs won't spawn in a 1 deep cavity. (spiders might, but I think it would have to be 2 wide in 4 directions).

Again, I find myself agreeing with Kastro here... Not a big fan of the random indestructible objects in this engine. BFBC2 was awesome in that no one could hide indefinitely inside a house, as the house could just be demolished on top of them.
