Purpose: To see how the metal reacts with hydrochloric acid, or if there's a reaction at all.
Hypothesis: I think that once the hydrochloric acid touches any of the metal, there will be a reaction
Materials: The material i used were -Zinc
-Copper
-Iron
-Aluminum
-Median dropper with hydrochloric
Procedure :
#1. Gather all the materials needed
#2. Take one of the metals and place it under the microscope.
#3. Take the medicine dropper, full it with Hydrochloric acid and pour 2 drops over the metal
#4. Write down the results/ the reaction.
Observation :
Materials observations
Magnesium Change in color, Smoke appears. Change in smell. Bubbles and fizzes, Dissolves.
Zinc Change in color, started to fizz.
Iron Change in color, the substance only turned darker
Aluminum No reaction
Copper No reaction
