Are you serious? This technique is a complete joke. By attempting to kimura someone while they have you in side control, you are literally giving them the armbar counter. All they need to do is step over your head and sit back for the far-side armbar.

@crabbit87 I've been training at Gracie Barra for over a year and a half. You have to be careful with a lot of these videos online. Some have good techniques but incorrect names, while others just have incorrect techniques.

1. Without a gi, you need to control the head for the scissor sweep in order to pull your opponent forward to get him off balance. You controlled the shoulder, which doesn't give you the leverage to pull him forward.

This technique is being taught wrong. For this type of single leg pickup, you need to put your head on the inside of the leg being picked up, not on the outside of it. The way you are doing it sets you up to be guillotined pretty easily.
